Colchester Oysters

The Colchester oysters we source, are truly free-range and live naturally on the seabed rather than being grown in nets and cages above the seabed. We believe this is one of the reasons why our oysters are some of the best in the world.

Feeding on the rich fertile waters in the Pyefleet Creek is what gives them their distinctive flavour. Dredged or picked by hand at low tide, the oysters are then purified in specially built tanks at the Fishery with purified, fresh seawater to ensure they are in perfect condition.

As a fresh caught product, due to many different factors such as bad weather conditions and seasonality, products may occasionally be unavailable. If this happens, we will contact you to offer an alternative or issue a refund for that item.
